when my son was 5 years old(he is 12 now) we were watching abc-tv's american agenda on the 6 o'clock news. it was a focus on buddhism in america. it showed various temples and finally showed one in upper state new york. inside had a very large gold statue of the buddha, out of the blue my son started crying hysterically. he said he was 18 and a young buddhist monk praying to buddha when men with guns came into the temple. he started running, but was shot, and the last thing he remembered was the pain, then falling to the ground. he was so upset and i was so shocked, but response was to comfort him and assure him he was safe and all right. once comforted, it was like it never happened and he went off to play. he's never mentioned it again and i haven't talked about it. i figured when he grows a little older i may tell him. an usual aspect of my son is that he's always refused to eat beef. he's almost a vegetarian. he's teased a lot by his friends but he's comfortable enough not to take offense. once a friend of my mine visited with her father, when my son was 6 months old, and he looked at my son, who looked back with equal intensity. then my friend's dad said, my son is a very old soul. there's been a number of unusual incidences. but, he's a very popular and bright boy and appears as grounded in this world as well as perhaps, another. How it changed my life:it reinforced my belief in reincarnation
