My mother was dating my father when she realized that he had gotten her pregnant. So they married because she thought that was the only thing she could do. When she was far along in her pregnancy he beat her until she went into labor. He drove her while she was hemmorraging, to his mother's house in Washington DC. His mother called her doctor, Dr. Harold F. McCann, and told the doctor to meet them at the hospital. My sister was born on 11 APR 1961 at Sibley Hospital in Washington DC. My mother put the name Michelle Ann Rybikowsky on the original birth certificate. My mother's name at the time was Cassandra Hope (Morgan) Rybikowsky and my father was Michael Joseph Rybikowsky. The Doctor, my grandmother and my fater arranged the adoption, my mother never signed anything because she wanted to keep her baby. My father told her if she tried to keep the baby he would kill her. So a few days after the baby was born, my mother was allowed to see her for the first time when my father forced her to carry the baby out of the hospital and hand her over on the hospital steps to a couple waiting there. Dr. McCann later told my mother that the couple may have been a Col. Charles 'Chuck' Allard and his wife. If you have any information that could help please email me.
