I.am trying to find my grandfather john edward campbell d.o.b.12/12/24 born in alberta canada to john w.? and florence kornelia (maiden travis)campbell. john was in the canadian army from 6th april 1944 to 25th august 1945 a medical discharge then to canadian maritime service. more than ten years. after that somehow assocaiated with a cruise line. while in the ca. army he met isabell c. reed from canada. her birth place is ontario. john was called out. isabell discovered that she was pregnant. john did not marry my grandmother. i must say his loss. johns mother, my great grandmother,whom loved me very much ask isabell to come to oregon, where she then resided. isabell came to stay with her. after she gave birth to her daughter, my mother dana rose campbell. isabell returned to canada. dana was raised by her grandmother.and florences second husband mr. blasing. story has it john has had several wives. one at every port. grandmother said 'a tall and good lookin man' john last seen dana when she was five yrs old. gr. grandmother florence k. passed `1981 in portland oregon. my grandmother is still living and fit as a fiddle. she gave me what information she could remember. my mother was reunited with her mother isabell just five yrs before i met dana myself. that was when i was 15 for dana gave me up for adoption. iam an only child of an only child. i know all the facts. now ready to meet grandfather campbell. if he is your father , grandfather or neighbor by all means please help, assist me. he does know that i was conceived. known as victoria ilene.21tst sept. 1963. however name was amended. at time of adoption,. i was born in oregon as well. plesase mail me at vcampbell@triax.com Why we are looking for them:still waiting for this story to change it. known information helped me accept and become a better person. just knowing that i did not drop from the sky.
