Would You Have Done This~Psyguy

I was just thinking of the time when we just moved to our new house back in 1999.

It was our 2nd week at the house, and we were having a yard sale, and me and my brother saw a group of teens go into the house next door, and being new to the neighborhood we didn't think nothing of it.

About an hour later 2 cop cars showed up, and asked me and my brother if we saw a group of teens, and if they went into the house next door.

We told them yes we did, and at that moment, we noticed them trying to run from them in the backyard, well the cops chased after them, and we just went on with our business.

But then I Saw one of the teens run in the front yard, and I ran over, and I was about to jump the guy, I Was getting ready to leap on him, but I froze. I don't know why, I loved cop shows, and love how they get the bad guys like that.

The cops did get the guy though.

I was only 14 at the time, and in the heat of the moment, you want to try to stop the bad guys.

But at the same time, the guy could of have had a gun or a knife.

But also in the heat of the moment, youd like to help the cops.

Date: 7/3/2008 9:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 15228    One time at a movie theater there was some really obnoxious teens, about 15 of them. A young woman asked them politely to quiet down...they ended up running the girl and her boyfriend out of the theater...thing is, it sounded like they were beating and punching them (I think though they were just pounding the walls as they chased after the couple) I was so infuriated that I stood up to go after the 15 teenagers and the woman next to me grabbed me and asked me if I was suicidal...and told me to sit down, which I did. In hindsight that was the right thing since my kids were with me. So I know what you mean about wanting to get involved, but sometimes common sense comes to the rescue.
Date: 7/4/2008 12:43:00 AM  From Authorid: 56359    Since the police were there... I would've let them handle it. Like you said, they could've had a gun or knife. If the police weren't there... I don't know.
