Well, I am looking for my dad. He was stationed in Nuremburg/Germany and left aprox. between April and July 1972. My mom was already pregnant but she didn't know until 1 week after he'd left. She tried to find him but the Army didn't cooperate. The German authorities tried to locate him as well, but - no chance of finding him. Now here I am, looking and searching for almost 5 years now, not knowing wether I have brothers and sisters, grandparents, or if my dad is still alive. I don't know if he wants to see me, or if I upset his new family (if there is a new family) or create any other problems. All I know is that I really want to see him to finaly feel "complete". And I also do think that it is his right (as well as my grandparents - if they exist) to get to know me - but before that he or rather they would have to know that I exist. Here is the little I know about him: His name is Anthony Nichols (not sure about the spelling) and he was born or lived in Louisville, Kentucky. He was around 24 and stationed as a GI in Nuremberg/Germany, as far as I know either Pinder-Barracks or Johnson-Barracks. He was a tall dark white male kinda good looking (that's what my mom says). He had a very good friend in the Army called Pete(r). That's about it... if you can help me in any way or suggest a place that I could contact - please do so!! Many thanks beforehand and may god bless you for your help! Why we are looking for them:I would like to know if I have brothers/sisters/grandparent/aunts/uncles/cousins and, of course, what my dad is like, what he looks like, what kinda life he lives and if he would have cared... many reasons impossible to name them all, but all of which are very important to me (and maybe to him as well!)
