If a child lives with criticism, he learns to condemn.

If a child lives with hostility, he learns to fight.

If a child lives with ridicule, he learns to be shy.

If a child lives with shame, he learns to feel guilty.

If a child lives with tolerance, he learns to be patient.

If a child lives with encouragement, he learns to be confident.

If a child lives with praise, he learns to appreciate.

If a child lives with fairness, he learns justice.

If a child lives with security, he learns to have faith.

If a child lives with approval, he learns to like himself.

If a child lives with acceptance and friendship, he learns to find love in the world!

==============

The secret of life is to make the best of whatever comes along. Make every day fresh and new.

Go in search of knowledge and experience.

Let your questions and your answers reconcile.

Do your best to remember that the best kind of learning curve is an educated smile. Share your magic with the people who share your memories. Have feelings that run very deep. Be in touch with the people who live in your heart. Be a caring person who plays for keeps. To really know what success means, earn it.

Don't rely on some elevator to get you there.

The easiest lessons to remember are the ones you learn the hard way.

The higher the floor you want to reach, the more important it is to take the stairs.

===================

I may never see tomorrow,

There's no written guarantee,And things that happened yesterday Belong to history.

I cannot predict the future,

I cannot change the past,I have just the present moment,

I must treat each as my last. I must use this moment wisely For it soon will pass away,And so be lost forever, As part of yesterday.I must exercise compassion,

Help the fallen to their feet,Be a friend unto the friendless, Make an empty life complete.

The unkind things I do todayMay never be undone,

And friendships that I fail to winMay never more be won.

I may not have another chanceOn bended knees to pray,

And I thank God with all my heartFor giving me this day.

===============

Lord help me to relax about insignificant details beginning tomorrow at 7:41:23 am PST. God help me to consider peoples feelings, even if most of them ARE hypersensitive. God help me to take responsibility for my own actions, even though they're usually NOT my fault. God, help me to not try to RUN everything.

But, if You need some help, please feel free to ASK me! Lord, help me to be more laid back, and help me to do it EXACTLY right. God help me to take things more seriously, especially laughter, parties, and dancing. God give me patience, and I mean right NOW! Lord help me not be a perfectionist. (Did I spell that correctly?)

God, help me to finish everything I sta

God help me to do only what I can, and trust you for the rest.

And would you mind putting that in writing?

Lord keep me open to others ideas, WRONG though they may be. Lord help me be less independent, but let me do it my way. Lord help me follow established procedures today.

On second thought, I'll settle for a few minutes. Lord, help me slow down andnotrushthroughwhatIdo.

===============

I woke up early today, excited over all

I get to do before the day ends.

I have responsibilities to fulfill today.

I am important. My job is to choose what kind of day I am going to have.

Today I can complain because the weather is rainy or ...

I can be thankful that the grass is getting watered for free. Today I can grumble about my health or...

I can rejoice that I am alive.

Today I can mourn my lack of friends or...I can excitedly embark upon a quest to discover new relationships.

Today I can whine because I have to go to work or...

I can shout for joy because I have a job to do. Today I can murmur dejectedly because I have to do housework or...

I can feel honored because Life has provided shelter for my mind, body and soul

Today stretches ahead of me, waiting to be shaped. And here I am, the sculptor Who gets to do the shaping.

What today will be like is up to me.

I get to choose what kind of day I will have!

My Favorite Recipe

One tablespoon of Kindness Make that two or maybe three

A half a cup of smiles Or more - because they're free One teaspoon full of starshine And a pinch of soft Moonbeams Sparkle it with Happiness Stir gently adding dreams

Pour in lots of loving Enough to fill the pot I guarantee and promise It will fill that empty spot. ============= YOU SHOULD BE LAUGHING

Laughing at our mistakes can lengthen our own life. Laughing at someone else's can shorten it! Laughter is like changing a baby's diaper.

It doesn't permanently solve any problems, but it makes thing more acceptable for awhile. Laughter is the brush that sweeps away the cobwebs of the heart. Laughter is the jam on the toast of life; it adds flavor, keeps it from becoming too dry, and makes it easier to swallow. Pass along the laughter!!!
