It was a sunny day that Saturday, September 10,1996 on the campuse of Temple University located in Philadelphia,Pennsylvania. I was out of contact with my boyfriend for at least three days which wasn't very normal for us. When I first told my mother that he loves me she warned me and said, 'I don't think he's right for you.' However, the following afternoon was a game that I was going to with my friends, but they told me to go see my boyfriend. I told her, 'He's probably doind something he's not suppose to be doing.' She said that I should go to find out if he was instead of staying in a relationship with a person I can't trust. I said O.K. When I took the first bus going westbound to West Philadelphia, I had a bad cramp in my stomach for no reason. The pain grew as I took the second bus. And on the way around the corner, I felt as if I wanted to faint. When I reached his house, His cousin answered the door. He let me upstairs into the house. As I took each step something was telling me to go home, turn back, or get away from the area. However, I disregarded everything since I was half way their. When I got to the door. He didn't answer the door when I knocked. I called his name and knocked. Finally, a girl arrived at the door with the statement, 'Im his fiancee.' I ran out the house only to return once again to return to this sucker and never again. The girl that answered the door was the girl that always replied when I called him as his cousin. My mother never knew any of my information until I told her that day. My friends insisted I go see him which I wouldn't of went if they didn't insist. I think this was a message from GOD and his resources (mother and friends). He was very in love with me as I was him, but because of the three day period, he actually thought I was trying to get rid of him. I couldn't contact him on the phone because of my pin number. I didn't have fare that week to take transportation. Everything was in order almost to make this situation happen. I have learned from this eperience the Lord set in place for me so I won't get stuck with the same problem everyone else is facing in these times. How it changed my life:I listen to my spiritual instincts and my mother because, as the old sayimg goes mother knows best.
