Putting Out Lights   Author: 17  Category:(Interesting) Created:(8/28/1999 10:43:00 PM) This post has been Viewed (1439 times) Starting a few years back while traveling at night to a local lake where we owned property the lights on our vehicle would suddenly go out which was explained to us as a bad light switch which I replaced. This didn't correct the problem with this vehicle but carried on to our other vehicle when we used it. We also owned a motor home and when we made a trip to the lake there was a sudden flash and every light and fuse was burned out. A mechanic could only explain it as a sudden surge of electricity and replaced some parts. Only because of what has begun to happen lately do I remember these events. It started when the flood lights on my flag poles began blowing out regulary and when coming into my garage the garage door opener light suddenly flashed and burned out. This also happened to both security lights that I have on my driveway and the street behind our home is lined with lights for about two miles and the only two light not lit are directly behind our house. What my wife and I have really started noticing lately is that street lights will go off as we come up to them or imediately after passing them. At first we thought that it may be the vehicles lights but after traveling in different vehicles it still seems to happen. The other day we noticed that after passing street lights in the daytime, they would flash on for a few seconds.There also seems to be a feeling that I get that tells me this is going to happen. Yesterday I had this feeling and we counted 4 lights that went out within a two mile section. Tonight I had a feeling nothing wasn't going to happen and it didn't. When I talked to my brother about this, he told me that he had always thought that it was only coincidence that lights would go off and on for his covenience. Now that we know we have the similiar problem we're going to try to keep better track of when these things happen. I would like to know if anyone out there is having the same problem or where we can go to get more information or help on this situation.
