My parents were married for 36 years before my Dad suddenly passed away in 1989.My Grandma (on my Dad's side)was still alive at the time. My Grandma never liked my Mom as she never felt that my Mom (or any woman) was good enough for my Dad. Basically, you could say that my Mom & Grandma tolerated each other for the sake of my Dad. My mom bent over backwards to make sure that my grandma was being treated ok in the nursing home, and take her up food, clothes, whatever she needed. my grandma passed away on thanksgiving night of 95. shortly afterwards, strange events started happening at my moms house. in the middle of the night, there would be knocks at the back door, but no one was there. mom would get phone calls but when she would answer the phone, it would be nothing more than a 'dead air' sound. we had the phone lines checked out and was told there was nothing wrong with them. it was not unusual for mom to get as many as 20 'dead air' phone calls in one day. the dog would bark, hair standing up on his back at the most strangest places of the house...the middle of the livingroom, the hallway, and for no reason. My mom finally had to consult a psychic to find out who/why this was all happening. the psychic had mom that my grandmas ghost had 'come back' to terrorize my Mom because she hated her so badly. the psychic informed my mom to get salt and sprinkle around the outside of the front and back door, to sprinkle holy water throughout the house. when all of this was done, my mom was instructed to say 'helen, go towards the light'. it only took one time of doing this before my grandma 'left' my mom alone. the phone calls quit, the dog no longer goes crazy over nothing, and the knocks at the door have ceased. life is back to normal, thanks to grandma going towards the light and crossing over to the other side. How it changed my life:it has made me a firm believer in ghosts/spirits although this is not the first encounter i have had with such.
