Can The Fans In Boston Be Anymore Pathetic?

Seriously! As a New Yorker and naturally a Yankee fan at that, I must say that the fan club for Boston is doing NOTHING for their team here!

Could we cheer a little? It's NEVER quiet in Yankee Stadium! The fans all have their heads in their laps, are slunk down in their seats with their hats low, or have slumped over on their significant other for a nap.

I know that the situation is looking pretty grim, but for crying out loud!, after struggling with the pitches the man finally throws a strike and the crowd barely batted on eye at it! Instead they'd rather throw back Yankee fowl balls as if it's OUR fault their team is getting their butt whooped...LOL

I actually feel bad for the team, they sure are playing a tough crowd!

Date: 10/16/2004 8:30:00 PM  From Authorid: 17081    I aint watched baseball since the starting lineup of my team went 1. Omar Moreno 2. Phil Garner 3. Dave Parker 4. Willie Stargell 5. Bill Matlock 6. Tim Foli 7. Bill Robinson 8. Ed Ott 9. John Candeleria ,or something like that. I remember hitting stones with a stick. Swingin my bat like Willie Stargell and throwing the ball like Kent Tekulve. Kris Benson came to see my daughter when she was in Children's Hospital for heart surgery. I think there is more Yankee fans in my area than Pirate fans.
Date: 10/16/2004 9:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 2734    Perhaps it is a superstition thing. Bostonians are EXTREMELY into superstition. Thank goodness it isn't 200 years ago or they would have been burned at the stake.
Date: 10/16/2004 9:40:00 PM  From Authorid: 2734    And by the way pathetic? 19 people were killed in Salem...rest their souls but for heavens sake you would think the Salem Witch trials were 9-11 the way they go on about it (and build a profitable tourist income around).
Date: 10/16/2004 9:48:00 PM  From Authorid: 24319    I think by the 5th or 6th inning of tonights game most of the fans knew it was a lost game. Also, my aunt lives in Mass and goes to the Sox vs. Yankees games. Since she goes with her friends who are Sox fans (she's a yankee fan) she sits on the Sox side. She told me one time she can't even cheer when the yankee's makes a good play because Boston fans are die heart fans that she literally fears cheering for the yankees while there. Also, tonights game was 4 hours and 20 minutes, it was pretty clear at about the 6th inning Boston was going to lose. Would you want to sit there for that long watching a pretty clean and cut game? I know I wouldn't, and I am a Sox fan.
Date: 10/17/2004 7:49:00 AM  From Authorid: 16061    You aught to be glad it was not in the UK. The Bosotn fans would have beaten the yankee fans and probably trashed the stadium as well.
Date: 2/9/2005 1:00:00 PM  From Authorid: 61928    And who got the last laugh?
Date: 2/9/2005 4:02:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27046    shaddup cracker :p
Date: 2/10/2005 2:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 61928    That's right. You tell old Slappy McThirdBase that he's shaming my name.
