Last night I popped a bag of popcorn for the kids. But before handing them each a big bowl full, I became inspired :)
So here's what I did:
I took 1/2 the bag of popcorn and put it into a big microwavable bowl. Then I took a generous handful of chocolate chips, took three big marshmallows and ripped them in about 12 smaller pieces, and then I took a handful of Heath's Toffee Bits and I put a lid on the bowl and shook it up real good.
Then I put the mix in the microwave on 80% heating power for 40 seconds.
After taking out the heated mixture, I lightly greased my hands so the marshmallow wouldn't stick to them, mixed all the melted goodies together with the popcorn and toffee, and was able to make four popcorn balls.
My taste test left me foaming at the mouth, so I took the other 1/2 of the bag of popcorn and made another batch of four "Ghost Poop Balls" for Mike and I to enjoy.
They are heavenly, and leave you with a supremely happy 'spirit'...and sticky hands. Yes, be sure to have plenty of warm, wet paper towels to clean up your sticky hands and lips after you indulge in this great holiday treat.
Here is what you need to make your own Ghost Poop:
1 bag of popped popcorn (light or no butter...or kettle corn)
6 marshmallows, cut or ripped into smaller pieces...or about 12-15 smaller marshmallows
2/3 cup of semi-sweet chocolate morsels (chips)
1/3 cup of Heath's Toffee Bits (found in the baking section of your grocer
A dab of oil for your hands....
Mix all ingredients in big microwavable bowl, heat at 80% power for 40 seconds, mold into baseball-sized balls, pressing hard as you are molding....and have ready 4-8 happy, hungry people who don't mind indulging in a little ghost poop from time to time.
HOPE YOU ENJOY!!! WE DID!!
