I am tired of the way everyone says "America must stay a democracy!"
America never has been a Democracy and it never will be. It is a Constitutional Republic. Franklin Roosevelt started the Democracy idea. He did it so that he could put restrictions on banking, bussiness, the people and take away restrictions on the government. Why? Because he could justify doing those unconstitutional things because 'it's what the people want'.
Now, lets say that there is a rapist sitting in a county jail, about to go to prison for six months, because a judge let him loose because of something in the laws. Now, lets say that a violent mob forms, calling for this man to die for what he did, so they break into the jail and drag him out and beat him to death.
Who do you agree with? The judge who followed the law or the mob who did what they wanted?
If you said the Judge, you cannot support democracy, as that is rule by the people. Rule by the mob. You cannot have rule by law and rule by the people. It is only feasible on paper.
If you try to run a nation on law and mob rule, only the laws the mob agrees with will be followed. Oh yes, the laws about theft, murder, traffic and other illegal things will still be there. The mob aggrees that those must be there to maintain order.
The Bill of Rights and teh Constitution, on the other hand... well, they don't maintain order for day to day life, do they? No, therefore the mob says that the government can change them.
There has never been a true Democracy on this planet that has maintained order. A true Democracy is anarchy. Mob rule taken to it's epitome. Look at the African anarchies and tell me you want rule by the people. The situation would be different here, but it will have the same result.
So what party should you support to put America as a Constitutional Republic again? There is none. The Democrat(not democratic) and Republican parties have the power to do it, but if they do, they lose too much. Some of the Third Parties have the drive, but not the power.
As I and my friends have all discussed this, we came to one conclusion. We have passed the point of no return. There is no way for the US government to turn itself arround and return to what the Founding Fathers set up.
No... I take that back. There is one way.
