Right ahead of me was a woman who was sounding off--apparently she was a listener to one of those radio shows where they get people fired up, and she was parroting back what she'd heard. "I say we should just support the President, no matter what he does!" she said. "He's the leader, and he'll lead us in the right direction. That's what he's there for." I looked at her in surprise, "Total unwavering support?" I asked. "Completely," she said. "You're talking about blind faith." She nodded, "Full support. It's the cornerstone of Democracy." I shook my head, "No. Democracy means the people make the decisions, and our leaders are answerable to us. Blind faith is the cornerstone of Fascism." She glared at me and said, "Traitor!"
