anybody REALLY good at reading piano sheet music?

about a week ago I bought sheet music by evanescence, and I started playing it. Now, I'm only a beginner with the piano so I'm having a little trouble figuring out this thing.. So, here's my question: In the sheet music, there are the treble clef and the bass clef, right? and above the treble clef there is the lyrics to the song, and above THAT there's another treble clef with notes that sound like it would sound if you sing the lyrics to the song. Am I suppose to play that as well? I didn't really think I had to play three clefs. But sometimes if I play all three of them, it doesn't sound right.. what do I do?

Date: 9/28/2004 7:30:00 PM  From Authorid: 47218    there is only one treble cleff and one bass cleff in sheet music for piano. bass cleff is the part your left hand plays and treble cleff is the part your right hand plays. I would guess the additional treble cleff (the one at the very top) is the melody for the voice. It's pretty much impossible to play it simultaneously, unless you come up with another piano and a third hand.

Practice one line first (the right hand) and then add in the left hand, usually chords. In order to play both hands like that you will have to know timing of the notes and how long each beat is... lol it sounds hard but its not too bad, if you ever need any help just message me, I hope this comment made some sense :) good luck!
