If you feel as though you're going to quit, make sure you look around or secure yourself with another job first just so you don't completely screw yourself over. - |

If you really like your job and make good money, stay and do your best. Even if it means taking that jerk's crap. Fight him and let him know it, without being to specific about it. They probably are already noticing people quiting before being fired especially if they hint them, so they most likely won't suspect you actually taking their advice and doing it, they'll expect you to quit just like that. If his ignorent behaviour comtinues be brave and take it up with him, sternly but nicely and calm. BUT, however, if you hate your job, then go ahead and quit it and persue something more fulfilling! Gog Bless, |

You are much too beautiful not to have the things you want out of life. So you decide what you want...a job or a phone call. Love you ~Russel~ |

I would stay and make them fire me so I could at least get unemployment. Of course, if I was so concerned about job security, I would seriously start looking for another job in the meantime, so that if I'm lucky, when they let me go, I've already got another one lined up. Perhaps it's time for a change anyways, hm? Time to explore new opportunities, try a position with some more room for professional growth? |

I mean honestly it is just amazing I could care less if I would get fired or quit. Since they wrote me yesterday I have never felt this happy in a long time. Like a million pounds of pressure have been released off my chest. I have not felt this good in a long time. So I guess I duno yet. I mean I get another job adn looks good because I quit. Or I could pull through and get unemployment. Who knows. I just feel great knowing next week will be my last week. How I choose to do it. Peace Out.. |

Here is a perspective...I would stay. By doing this they can not put in your file that you quit or did not give notice. When your looking for a new job you will need work references. Reasons for leaveing..etc...etc...If your sure that all you have is a week left then by all means wait it out for unemployment. If you were to give a two week notice they may tell you to leave right then. *shrugs* I dont know...you may just have to use your own gut instinct in your decision... |

With this new privacy act, a company can only ask certain questions by law. They can't ask why you were fired nor can they ask how much money you made per hour. Thay can ask if you worked there, for how long, and they ask if you were a person they would consider rehiring. As far as unemployment goes, you will be penalized because you were fired, but that is only for a couple of weeks, maybe three. Then you can draw unemployment. (Of course, that is Georgia standards.) Just do what makes you happy. |

I think that any job that causes you so much distress in your life should be quit. It's not worth it when there are so many jobs out there |

I know someone who went through a similar situation. He was making too much money so they started giving him low scores on the progress reports that all the employees get. He ended up getting fired. |
