Anything is possible-you could be hearing voices while half asleep because I recall being half asleep when I thought I saw a person standing at the door, but as I moved my eyes-there's nobody.
It appears you're a person of faith, so I'd say that you continue to pray. Good luck! |

My opinions do not fit with the Bible, so I guess it'd be pointless to offer any. Sorry. |

I respect everyones beliefs even if they don't fit with mine. I might not agree but I would love to read others opinions, whatever they may be. |

Where in the Bible does it say chanting is forbidden? I attend a Lutheran Missouri Synod church, and much of our liturgy could be considered chanting, and we take the bible quite litteraly...as for the voices, I have no clue. I myself sorta believe in ghosts, perhaps Heaven isn't in the sky, but is really here on Earth, just another dimension that some of us are more in tune with than others. Good luck! ~Becky |

Yes that is partly the reason why Jesus is against religion, with the uniformity of it all. I'm gonna perform a search on biblegateway.com right now to find it. In Matthew 6:7, Jesus warned, “And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.” |

There is much that catholics do that is unbiblical, that is highly debated here, as far as monks, it is questionable if they even consider themselves christian, I think some might follow the bible but alot don't, there are many different types of monks. |
