STUFFED PEPPERS

4 medium green peppers

1 pound ground beef

1/2 cup chopped onion

1 can (10 ounces) condensed tomato soup

1 cup cooked rice

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon salt

generous dash of pepper

2 slices milk process or Swiss cheese, cut in strips

Remove tops and seeds from peppers.

Cook in boiling salted water for about 5 minutes; drain.

In frying pan, brown beef and cook onion until tender.

Stir in 1 cup soup, rice and seasonings.

Spoon meat mixture into peppers.

Place in 1 1/2 quart casserole.

Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes.

Top with remaining soup and cheese; bake 5 minutes more.

Makes 4 servings.
