I wasn't able to afford too much to get her a gift so I got her something that I could afford. LOL I feel so cheap but I'm tight on money. I got her two small angel figureins, (male and female) that looks like their going to kiss each other and I got her a plastic wind chime type thing of angels. She likes angels and it only cost be under 3 dollars. But it's the thought that counts and I know that she will like them.  |

I took her a new flag for her grave in March when I went to give my son one for his birthday. That is 300 miles one way, so I only make the trip once a year. Mother's Day is the hardest day when they have passed on.  |

Wow thats nice...I like that. I might have to pick my mother up one for something. She would like that between me and my brother and then his children and eventually mine when I have them. This year I sent my mother, my grandmother, my mother in law, grandmother in law, two sister in laws and my best friend flowers and I am taking my mother and grandmother out to dinner tonight. We just got back from my brothers house..he did a huge brunch thing for everyone.  |

I have this 80 year old friend from Germany down the road (I'm 17) and she called me the other day and told me that she would help me make my mom a real authentic German bun cake for my mother on mothers day. It was the coolest little cake... it took 3 days to make to. We had to roast the almonds and carmalize them. Make the icing to put the almonds in... and make more icing to go on top and make the cake... OH MY GOSH... it was the best cake I've ever tasted in my whole life. My mother just loved it. my mom already has me. what more could she want?!! o.k. she got a new dishwasher. that was from my dad. mom has mothers day, her birthday and anniversary within a few days of each other and she has a bunch of "stuff" so she usually just wants one gift for all three! so she told me that i was to tell dad that she wanted a new dishwasher. so, i go to lowes and get a new one, charge it to the old man and tell him what it is before mothers day. if we don't tell him he will act suprised too and then screws it up! i got my mom a mothers day collectors plate from avon. i bought her one in 1986 and she wants one every year now! my daughter got me this miniture cast iron stove with little tiny pots and pans. it's so cute. i saw it at cracker barrel and told her to go buy it for me!(i get what i want that way!) my brother got my mom the same little stove. they are sooo cute! plus we had a huge party with about 35-40 people, then we ate way too much then we all went to our own homes for naps!!  |
