OMG BAD PUPPY!

Ok I just got a new puppy on thursday. And shes so darn cute. Shes a boxer, pit bull, and coon hound mix. At first when i got her all she did was lay around the house. OMG now she has a split personality. I work at petsmart and I took her to work with me the other day. And everyone says oh how i wish my puppy would just lay around hte house. HAHA I mean she was just chillin on the ground and laying there while this lil lab puppy was barking at her.

Now I brought her back home. And HOLY COW! She I swear, has split personalities hehehe. She ran up to my six year old dog Maxi and bit her in the tail. Than I brought her in the house and she peed in three different spots. I told her no. And she runs away thinking its funny lol.

And today she ran in the yard and saw my cat Chester sitting by the pond edge. What does she do? Well she runs up behind Chester and puts her paws on him and knocks him into the pond. No Kidding! she did this. Poor cat got all wet. Than she chases my other cat Dahli Lama all over hte yard, and Dahli has to sit up in the willow tree for a half hour before i found out Chance (my crazy puppy) was barking at her.

Trust me its as if all my other animals scatter when they see her presance. I'm just kinda venting hahahah..

But there's hope!

She is enrolled in puppy school in a month! Lets all wish her luck.

However, I do feel kinda mean. I put her in the garage tonight and shes not sleeping by me in the bed. She whining right now and I am going to let her stay out there. She has to learn.

This aint to mean is it?

I didn't think so. Luckily I think her behavior can change. after all I hope she aint the puppy from Satan...Just kidding!

I know she a puppy, I'm just venting lol. I"ve just never in my life had a puppy this naughty or wierd.

Peace Out..

Monkie

Date: 6/10/2003 12:07:00 AM  From Authorid: 53052    pur a radio out in the garage with her....it usually helps with the whining
Date: 6/10/2003 12:49:00 AM  From Authorid: 26452    I wasn't saying she should be in a crate ALL the time, i just ment at night, and when you're not home, because a puppy will ALWAYS get into things, until they're at least a year old.
Date: 6/10/2003 1:13:00 AM  From Authorid: 53052    a puppy is like a little child... it's a good way to look at it when you go to punish your pup or just how to care for your pup in general... you wouldn't lock a child away for a day in a box you don't do it to a puppy... you don't expect a little child to know right from wrong... you don't expect that of a puppy
Date: 6/10/2003 10:52:00 AM  From Authorid: 6915    Honestly, puppy doesn't know why she's in the garage right now. The best time to inforce discipline is when the action takes place....not an hour or two later. They forget a few minutes after the event happens and locking her in the garage is teaching her nothing.
