He stood outside and stopped from playing. He looked down at the note and watched her as she walked over. He always noticed lately she had that attitude to her. That look that she was a lot tougher then she seemed. It was one of the many things that attracted him to her in the first place. He took off his sunglasses and looked down at the note.
He walked over to the fence and sat on top of it. Running his finger through his light brown hair he looked at the note still yet to unfold it. His eyes looked at it as he placed his thumb ready to unfold it.
“Come on man we gotta finish this game,” one of the other guys yelled. He looked down at the note then back at his friends. Taking the note he slipped it into his side pocket. He could read it later.
Down the street she sat on the front stoop and listened to her music again. Her blue eyes were blue again and her hair was now let lose from it’s hold flowing down her back. She looked like a totally different person then she did about an hour earlier.
She could see the guys from where she sat just behind the trees. She smiled as she watched them. She should go shot hops with them but she couldn’t today. Today was about figuring things out and clearing her mind. Her past was her past but her past was still part of her. A part of her she wanted to have in her future.
Opening the screen door she walked inside and went upstairs to her room. Reaching her room she shut the door and jumped onto her bed. She grabbed the CD from her walkman and put it in her CD player. She turned the volume up as loud as she could and laid down in bed. Finally, she could relax. She drifted off remember everything that happened up till now, remembering when it all started.
