it could be a scratch, but you can never be too sure. i would go have it checked out by a doctor. you may need a nice, strong antibiotic. i hope you feel better soon. |

It could have something to do with your sinuses draining, they'll tend to bleed during or shortly after an infection. |

I agree with the others who have mentioned seeing the doctor. Only he can tell you what is really wrong and dispense the medication you need to help make it better. Good luck to you, and best wishes for getting well soon! -Lotus Blossom |

it could be drainage from your sinuses, when you sinuses drain it goes down the back of your throat and itll taste yukie for a bit, or it could be, if you are caughing alot if you caugh hard enough the vessels in your throat can rupture and that is where the blood taste could be from.it should be checked out like everyone else said. the blood vessels or capillaries can rupture easily when you caugh, it is from the strain on your throat that does it.they arent anything major, but infection can set in. |

You have probably bursts some little tiny membranes in the lining of your throat, it happens when you blow your nose too hard too. I sure hope you will feel better soon. |
