i'm not sure what the normal level is. i have to go for a diabeties test this week and i am hopeing everything turns out fine. but they never told me what the normal level is. sorry i can't be of much help to you right now. i hope everything turns out alright for you too.  |

my book said it should be 160 a2 hours after you eat and mine was 222  |

thats good. i was suppose to have mine done weeks ago, but i am a chicken and have been putting it off for some time now. lol. i am terrified of them saying i have it. i know, if taken care of, it's nothing really dangerous, it's just the fact of getting the test done...and i hate needles. lol  |

lol! when i first let my mom test me, it took 30 mins for me to let her prick me, but its not all th at bad. right now my finger really hurts though  |

Type I and Type II Diabetes are different. Usually Type I comes at a younger age, Type II is usually adult onset. A fasting blood glucose will be somewhere between 70 and 120. I'm not diabetic but I check mine frequently and fasting is usually 95-100. After eating it will go up. Over 150 after eating may indicate diabetes. You need other tests to determine for sure. See your doctor, I would advise an endocrinologist but if that isn't possible ask your family doc to run the blood tests needed.  |

My daughter was told she had type 1 diabetes at the age of 17,her sugar was over 600.She had to be be on shots right away and today 10 yrs later she is doing ok. She is married and just had her second child.They told her to try and keep her sugar in the range of 80-120.If I can help I will and good luck to you. trauma momma  |
