my only suggestion would be to tie him up....we put our one dog on a tie out chain that is attached to our clothesline..this way he can still run a bit.... |

My dogs are outdoor dogs and I have them on Sentinel. It's a flea-tick-heartworm pill that I give them once a month. It works like a charm, although it's a little expensive. There are lots of other flea-tick pills and shots available at the vet. You will need to dip your dog too. If there is a Petsmart or Petco near you, they have a lot of good dips (zema is a good brand). Ticks can cause anemia and Lyme disease among other things, so you really need to do all you can for your dog. Good luck! |

My dogs are all outside dogs as well and get covered in loads of them. I know what you mean. I really don't thik there's much you can do to stop it. We put drops on our dogs which stops them for awhile but you have to keep doing it. Also for the roaming problem, we bought this post you put in the ground that comes with a collar and it only lets a dog go so far. It's like an electric fence but it's easier and cheaper. It's just a post you put into the gorund. If you need anymore help, please message me :-) ~nimiwae~ |
