I never could fathom how some people could get such low grades in English class; to me, that was just a nightmare. But to my utter disappointment, I am getting a C. A stinking C! And it just stuns me, especially since I am aspiring to be a writer.
Yeah, well, we're reading 'Night' by Elie Wiesel (very good book), and we had to take this little essay quiz. Well, she teacher gave us the quiz, blah, blah, blah, I took it and elaborated as well as I could on all the questions. And she failed me on it. We had to take another one today, and I just went into heavy detail - I swear, if she fails me on this, I am going to go freakin' ape-crap on her! Seriously.
Another thing that really made me sore was getting a C on a speech that I slaved over, worked my butt over, and practiced. I got people interested when I spoke. It was a persuasive speech and I really got people to think what I was persuading them to think, you know. It was an anti-censorship speech, and I think I deserved a B on it, but nope, the old witch just took off points every where she could get away with, and I got that lousy grade.
She keeps giving me low grades, and it's making my g.p.a. drop! I had a 4.0 2nd quarter, but my g.p.a. has been a 3.0 or worse since starting her class. I'm not happy with it, either. I just got accepted into a college, and I'm terrified that they might revoke my admission if they see my grades that I'm getting from her class. She does not like me, and for the life of me, I can't figure out why. I do my work, turn it in on time, mind my own beeswax, and am very respectful to people. But she just gives out A's to all the preps, and then the loud, mean, and slacking people get the low grades - and she's putting me in their catergory. And I don't slack! GRRRRRRR!
Seventeen days left. Thank god. Does this woman have it in for me or am I just imagining it? She's very cold to me - yells at me all the time. I have a vocabulary test tomorrow - she can't downgrade me on that because I know my vocabulary, and there isn't room for debate on it. The answer is right or it is wrong. Last time, I got 100 on a vocab. test. I just think she doesn't want me to get ahead in life. "sigh"
