Death: A Solution? ~>DCFan<~

Here I am, sitting; Why? I do not know!
What am I waiting for? Nothing? I am just sitting;
waiting, blankness in my mind. Hazy;
nothing is coming to my thoughts.

Here I am, staring into the deep parts of my brain.
Looking; searching for an answer; a solution.
I'm scared; Would the answer be bad? Death; the answer?
And if it was, is it the right one? This is not a math problem;
It is not hard, nor confusing. Blackness comes to my mind.
Death, it seems, is a solution.

Here I am, holding a knife; Sharp;
So sharp as a shark's teeth waiting to attack me.
I closed my eyes. Suddenly, I felt a warm wetness upon my arm.
Red! I feel a sharp pain all along my arm. Hurting, leaking.
It's blood. I should have died.

I wrote this a couple weeks ago, bad incidents were happening in my household that led me to do this to myself.

Always,
Tim

Date: 5/12/2003 12:10:00 PM  From Authorid: 42568    I think that last line should be, "I could have died." I've felt this way for the past four years. It only gets worse with time, because with time anxiety and hopelessness gets filled with worse feelings. This poem gives off a sense of unawareness. When a person cuts themselves though, they are completely aware... at least from my experiences. You think you SHOULD have died, but really in reality, if you should have, you would have. There's a purpose to everything and everyone. The waiting for it is what makes life feel like hell. Too often do humans let their minds cloud with illogical thoughts. It's a great poem; very imaginative.
Date: 5/12/2003 1:18:00 PM  From Authorid: 55386    Wow! *hugs* I hope you are alright! I have tried this....It isn't the answer...AT ALL! Honestly. You got lots of ppl that love ya, though you may not think it. Death IS a solution, but not a good one...you get out of life, but you risk and hurt everyone else's life and emotions. Great job at writing this though. I could feel the pain in my arm and ecerything. You have a gift, USE IT! And if you ever need to talk, I am here. Just message me k? *hugs* Great job and keep writing!
