Close Encounter of 3rd kind. Date Jan 17, 1957. Location, 3 miles S of Ceresco Mich. On home Farm Pond at Birthday party. 2 members of my band, Cousin Sandra and Dan - Lead Guitarist were skating after most had left, when the UFO landed at edge of the 6 acre pond in the winter leaving a burned circle thur snow and soil several inches deep approximately 40 yards from where we stood. Interesting experience, but not only one, had seen many - most in simular size and shape most were from 60 feet in diatmeter to about 100+ feet in diameter at close range. Both myself, children and family have observed the saucer shaped objects on many occasions. My sons were most ammused near Custer Field, in Battle Creek Mich, when watchin local Scorpion Fighter scramble and attempt to chase the UFO's. was rather a flight in futility but most amusing with the sudden ability for the UFO's to alter course spontaneously and then hoover waiting for jet fighters attempt to approach thier new location, this was fairly often and was observed by a large host of people. On one other occasion in the winter was returing down river on a moonless night but bright with stars in my SnowPlane from feeding horses up river- on the ice, crusing along about 90 mph, when notice a large glow of orange around the Snowplane. I opened the cab door and stepped unto one of the large heavy Skis with thought that some sort of fire may have broken out from cracked fuel line. there was only the blue fire from the exhaust and the roar from the non mufflered engine as I sped down westerly down the large millpond towards the distant village where I lived. I looked up to see the UFO hovering above me, I had my left hand on the wheel and was hanging on to the propellor cage with my right hand, looking up and would do some turns a around small islands to see what the craft would do, it would either follow or just wait for me, sort of seeming most curious. Finally as I approaced the village it slowly started to accend, and I climbed back inside but could still see part of craft by leaning forward. As I approaced my dock on the Ice which was the last house on the edge of the village, the UFO suddenly took the normal assention I was used to seeing and turned slowly up at a steep angle started slowly at first to leave, then shot up thru the night to become a speeding star far in the distance as I pulled up to the dock to shut down the Snowplane Thur the years in Michigan - I was fortunate to see many UFOs that seemed to to correlate with a lot of major technological developments by many around me, including myself. Since moving to Washinton in 1967, have only seen a couple at considerable distance. Capt. I am happy with these incidents that reinforced my belifes in the fact we are not alone, and there are many beings of higer intellegence than ourselves.
