On December 31st, 1996, at approximately 10:00 pm, Diane Marie Kennedy (currently 44 years old) walked away from her western North Carolina home in Waynesville (Haywood County). Kennedy is a white female, approx. 5 foot tall, 135 pounds, has brown eyes and when last seen had brown shoulder length hair. She was last seen wearing a gray winter jacket, blue or black jeans and tan winter boots. She was also carrying a small black duffle bag with red straps. Kennedy has worked in the Dental field as a technician for most of her working career. She has lived in Massachusetts, Connecticutt and North Carolina and has relatives in Florida and California.
Anyone with information regarding Kennedy's dissappearance or whereabouts is asked to contact Detective S.G. Melton at the Haywood County Sheriffs Office at 1-800-545-1541 x236. Why we are looking for them:She has been missing from her family for almost 5 years and has not been heard from since. She has some health issues and her family is very worried about her.
