May I suggest that you also contact PARC, the Post Adoptive Resource Centre in Sydney Australia as your parents may have come here to live. I think you are a brave and courageous person and I wish you every success in finding your family. I found my son many years ago, and it was a very healing process for the both of us. Yours sincerely, Denise Why we are looking for them:I was a 'relinquishing mother' in 1970. Presently there is a hearing taking place at Parliament House, Macquarie Street, Sydney into the Adoption Practices from 1950 to 1998. The Standing Committee is looking at the illegal and unethical practices that were used to take newborn babies away from 'unmarried mothers'. It has taken a long time for these injustices to be publicaly aired and 250 submissions have been put into the hearing, to date, from women who had their children stolen from them for the purposes of adoption. My life has changed after I found my son. We were never ever meant to be apart and what happened to us should never happen to anyone. If you would like to know more about the hearings or anything else, please feel free to contact me. Denise
