Judy, your story really show's how affected adoptee's are by the loss of their first families. I am an adoptee and a birthmother and have belonged to many support groups for both. Most Birthmothers do grieve horribly after the loss of their child and never get over it. I am sure your mother thought she was doing what was best for you at the time.
