It was a very rainy afternoon in April of 1995. I was on my way to the local market. To get there I had to travel on a certain road that became dangerous when wet. Knowing this i started to slow down , when I noticed ahead, a strange man in a yellow rainjacket and brown cowboy hat ahead. He held up his hands yelling 'stop.' I stopped the car thinking this man was most likely a police man. But as I started to get closer this figure started fading and I realized I didn't know what it was at all. Feeling really spooked, I continued driving about ten miles down the road when I noticed three police cars, and their lights were brightly flashing. A policeman came up to me and knocked on the window. 'Mame, we are going to have to ask you to turn around, there has been a serious head on collision involving two cars, your very lucky you didn't arrive five minutes sooner, it could of been you.' As I drove off I realized that the figure was there to alert me from danger. The ! folowing day I asked around to see if anyone saw a man fitting my description. No one did. There's no doubt in my mind that spirit was there to save my life.
