About a month 1/2 ago, my husband and I had decided that our family was as complete as it was going to get. I made an appointment to see my doctor and talk to him about having my tubes tied. Two days before my appointment I had a very disturbing dream. It wasn't a bad dream, by any means, but it was very thought provoking and it brought forth feelings that overwelmed me. The dream was quite simply this: I was sitting in a chair and I saw my son Eddie. He was six in the dream (I don't know how I know this, it was just a feeling I had). On my lap was a six month old baby girl with red hair and brown eyes. I knew her name...Elaina. It was astounding! I woke up and burst into tears because I was filled with doubt about my upcoming appointment. Before I went back to sleep I prayed. I told God that I'd do whatever he deemed fit for me to do, but that I needed a sign to guide me. Feeling at peace, I was able to go back to sleep. The day of my appointment arrived! .. I was nervous, but I knew that I'd know what to do. Besided I was just 'talking' about my options, not actually doing it. Well, a urine sample was taken and the nurse came back out. She seemed rather upset and didn't quite know what to say. I knew something was up. She said that I could not have a tubal ligation for a while. I asked her why and she said I was pregnant. She seemed to be worried on how I would take the news. I couldn't help but to smile and we continued with the examination. I knew that God had seen fit to take matters into his own hands. He not only gave me a sign, but he picked me up and set me on the right path! My husband, son, and I are expecting our beautiful baby at the end of January of 1999. The only question left is...will it be the adorable red-headed, brown eyed Elaina of my dreams? Time will tell. Either way...it will be greatly loved. How it changed my life:It strengthened my faith in God and it brought me great joy!
