When I was 17 years old I had the strangest experience. I was getting ready to go to work and remembered that I needed my social security card. I headed to my younger cousin's room to get the card. Jocelyn (my cousin) was in the room coping an attitude about going to school and I told her that I could care less and to get her butt moving or she would be late. Well, anyway my social security card was high up on a shelf and in order for me to reach the card it was necessary for me to climb on a bureau. Sure, this doesn't sound that bad, but imagine tring to climb up in a pair of three inch high heel shoes. That is exactly what I had to do. I opened each drawer (there were three)and climbed up as carefully as I could. It musn't have been that careful, because I slipped. No I didn't break my neck. Thank God. Why you ask? Because as I was slipping a hand held my back and pushed me up. I didn't pay any mind to this though. I thought that it was my younger cousin who held me up. So, I got the card and went to my cousin to ask her if she held me up and she said, 'I couldn't care less if you fell.'. That told me she definitely was not the one who held me up. Her neighbor was in the house,so I asked her if she held me up and she said, 'No. I was in the bathroom. Being the only three people in the house there was no one else to ask. So, that could only mean that I had an angel guarding me. I know this is true, because everytime I think of the incident I feel a great joy in my heart. I thatnk the lord for my angel and I thank my angel for my life. How it changed my life:I hava even more faith in the lord than I had before and I know not to climb on bureau's with heals on.
